ABSTRACT Surveying is the most essential part has to taken before taking any action on the earth-objects. It helps in recognizing the object with all its physical and chemical properties. The aim of surveying is to prepare a map to show the relative positions of the objects on the surface of the earth. The map is drawn to some suitable scale. It shows the natural features of a country, such as towns, villages, roads, railways, rivers, etc. Maps also include detai ls of different engineering works, such as roads, railways, irrigation canals, etc. starting from civil to geology all are undergoing surveying and mapping to make their effective. Some of the major applications are described bellows.
Surveying may be used for the following various applications:
1. To prepare a topographical map which shows the hills, valleys, rivers, villages, towns, forests, etc. of a country. 2. To prepare a cadastral map showing the boundaries of fields, houses and other properties. 3. To prepare an engineering map which shows the details of engineering works such as roads, railways, reservoirs, irrigation canals, etc. 4. To prepare a military map showing the road and railway communications with different parts of a country. Such a map also shows the different strategic points important for the defense of a country. 5. To prepare a contour map to determine the capacity of a reservoir and to find the best possible route for roads, railways, etc. 6. To prepare a geological map showing areas including underground resources. 7. To prepare an archaeological map including places where ancient relics exist.

INTRODUCTION TO AERIAL SURVEY
Sometime it becomes more challenging to map large surface areas when it exceeds more than a kilometer. Basically in small areas the surveyor use to take the snap of the surface from different coordinates, different angles or different geographic locations with proper GCPs. When the issue comes in larger areas then aerial survey term comes. Aerial survey is a method of collecting geometric or other imagery by, using aeroplanes, helicopters, UAVs, balloons or other aerial methods. Typical types of data collected are aerial photography, LiDAR, remote sensing (using various visible and invisible bands of the electromagnetic spectrum, such as infrared, gamma, or ultraviolet) and also geophysical data (such as aeromagnetic surveys and gravity. It can also refer to the chart or map made by analyzing a region from the air. Aerial survey should be distinguished from satellite imagery technologies because of its better resolution, quality and atmospheric conditions. Today, aerial survey is sometimes recognized as a synonym for aero-photogrammetry, part of photogrammetry where the camera is placed in the air. Measurements on aerial images are provided by photogrammetric technologies and methods.
SURVEY THROUGH UAVs

This is the era to replace the bigger aircraft and helicopters by small flying robots. Here the issue comes in carrying a camera only, so flying a small machine much better here. a drone mapping platform for easy, fast and accurate aerial data acquisition that will enable you to take informed and targeted action. Site Scan provides a level of insight that’s invaluable to industries like agriculture, construction, mining, and land and resource management, or for gathering data for any area that needs to be looked at closely and often. Site Scan allows you to get this data cheaply, easily and quickly, with less risk and more frequency and detail than manned flight or satellite imagery.
What you will get?
Imagine how you might advance your business practices if you could get accurate and immediately actionable information about your land as frequently as you want. You’ll see more, see better, and save money, and once you see your operations from the air you’ll never approach work the same way again. A custom tailored hard-case ships with every vehicle, and adds a layer of protection to your investment. The case keeps all of the required components easily accessible in one place to ensure you’ll always be ready in the field. Capabilities include creating 2D maps and in addition, you can “fly through your map” in a software -generated 3D movie, complete with waypoints. This hardware and software will not only revolutionize the commercial UAV industry, but will help as many people as we can to revolutionize their industries.
Here are the top industries that positively will get benefits
